Well, sorry for the lack of posts. I've been kind of busy with friends, Holiday related stuff, and work.
I spent last night painting Warhemmer 40K minatures with Will, and it's been a while since I've last held a paint brush. The minatures we painted where his space marines, and he was hesitant to lend me a brush, since he still remembers my pastel colored Tyranids. Still, I painted by his color scheme, and improved one or two techniques he used. Unfortunately, now I want to get back into painting minautres. Stupid expensive paint.
I probably won't get another chance to do anything with him, since he leaves Tuesday morning and I work both Monday and Tuesday. There were talks about doing something tonight, but.... last night was a good enough ending to his time here. After the mini painting, we even got a few rounds of Halo in. At least I'll be able to see him on CoH after he leaves.
Christmass came and went, and my family exchanged gifts. Actually, I still need to get some of my friends christmass gifts, and I kind of feel bad that I haven't been able to get them anything yet (stupid poor paying job). I already know what I want to get them, it's just the empty bank account that's preventing me. Granted, there's only two friends left for me to get gifts for, and granted that one of them hasn't gotten me anything yet, but I still feel bad.
As to what I got, well, I recieved a few movies, and one or two gift cards. One of the gift cards I'm going to put toward a copy of Viva Pinata. The other one I used on picking up some sleep wear (Do you know how hard it is to find shorts and a matching cami in the middle of winter? Damn Florida waether's tempature).
Anyway, It's almost midnight, so I'm going to call it a night. Night!

Well, He's down
Well, I spent some of the last few days with Will, partly since I wanted to let him borrow a few games and books to keep him occupied. I let him borrow my copy of Dead Rising and my copy of DoA 4, along with the new Halo novel and the third book of the Horus Heresy.
When I let him play Dead Rising, I became disturbed. He had this hideous, evil, gleeful laugh everytime I showed him a new weapon in the game, with the most horrific laughs coming from his discovery of the lawn mower, and his discover of the battle axe. I never want to hear a person laugh like that again, and I'll make a suggestion to his family to never leave him unsupervised with power tools again =P.
I have all the Christmass gifts purchased for my family, and next ppaycheck (I know it won't be until after Christmass) I'll purchase the gifts for my friends. I have a good idea on what to get everyone, so that should be easy enough. I got one of my sisters three classic books that I know she hasn't read yet, the other I got a wireless mouse for her labtop. I got my mom a few things from Bath and Body Works, and my Dad is going to recieve a copy of Poor Richard's Almanac. As to my friends, well, I only have a few ideas right now.
I spent Monday, my day off, at the station pressure washing both the carwash and the dumpster area. I never want to do that again. The amount of dirt that I got off the carwash floor was.... too much. And never enter into a carwash with one of those magnetic clip on thingies on your vehicle. I cleaned so many of those things out of there...
Anyway, I have to go to work soon =(, night... err morning!

Finals are Over =)
Well, first some update news stuff. I added a new christmass flash to my yahoo groups flash holder. It's not much, but it is a flash animation. And yes, I know Christmass ends in only one S.
The other news stuff/update thing involves a blog that was left in my comments section. If you missed the comment he left, you can still get access to his site here. And ya, I know his user pic is kind of... diffrent...
Well, finals and papers are over and done. I only had to take two finals, and I hope I did well on them. As to the papers, I ended up having to turn in the one on Goethe's Faust a day late. Lost a high number of points for turning it in late, but since my grade in that class was a high A, it shouldn't affect it too much. I had to turn it in late because I didn't realize the play was approximately 300 pages, and thus it took a little bit longer to write up then previously expected. I did skim it, at least Part 1, and I still have the book for when I want to read it (it is worth reading, and I think I'd also like to read Marlowe's version).
I currently have a stack of books I want to read, but due to distractions, probably won't get to =(. These include my copy of Livy's History of Rome first four volumes, Plutarch's Fall of the Roman Republic, a shadowrun book I have on my nightstand, and two Dune books. I'd add to that Milton's Paradise lost, but it's just too dry for me to read. At least Livy keeps things entertaining.
Will will be getting down sometime this week, though he won't be able to do anything till the 21st. Part of me is happy that he is coming home for Christmass, another part of me is... I guess aprehensive. I don't really know why, I mean, I've known him since my first year of High School (and as such, it makes him my longest running friend), but... I don't know. In the very least I can probably con him into helping me beat General RAAM on Hardcore in Gears of War.
Well, according to my community college's list of graduating students, I have recieved my AA degree this semester. Of course, that's not finalized till Febuary, and a whole host of things could potentially ruin my standing (such as a bad grade this semester, an overdue library book, and a few other things that I can't currently think of). Still, I am at least on the list of people who might have their AA degree, so that makes me, on paper, smarter than those who don't =P. Unfortunately, I'm only smarter than them on paper. It's kind of like communism.
No, I didn't get to go to the concert last night. I drove by the bar Needlework was playing at, but their was no parking. None, and I was unsure of weather they'd let me in, since I'm not yet 21. So what Gina and I did was we spent the night at Steak and Shake (we actually got decent service for once), then afterwards we swung by my place. She spent the night playing Lummines, and I found an article on a controversial practice affecting america. If you do wish to surf more articles on that website take heed, you will loose IQ points.
Anyways, that's all I got for tonight. Since school is out I'll probably be able to update a little more often. Night!

Work Load
Well, first off, let me draw attention to the somewhat new look of the site. The archive section on the right now functions easier, I've updated my profile blurb text thingy, and I added a new link to my links sidebar. The link is to gamepolitics.com, and it's where I get a lot of my video game politics information. I've been using their site for political intrique for the last 7 months, so I thought I'd finally add a link to it.
I have one of my papers typed up and turned in. It's not the one I've been talking about, but I have at least some of the work done. The other two papers I have are due on Wednessday, and I need to study for my Calc final on Monday. I actually only have 2 exams I need to take, my calculus exam and my Humanaties class. I'm some what worried about my humanaties grades, but I think I'm pulling a B in that class right now, at least I hope I am. Most of my tests have been high C's, but I do have an A and a high B test, so.... and right now my Calc grade is sitting at a C. But my History grade, and my World Lit grade is currently an A.
Been working a lot over the weekend. I worked 13.5 hours yesterday/this morning, along with another 1.5 today (my day off...). My last check, which was for thanksgiving, was a pretty big check, but since I had a few bills to pay, a christmass gift to pick up, and a new volume of Ahh, my goddess, found its way into my anime library, well, I'm where I'm normally am.
Been getting into some Gothic rock/electonica recently for music. Been listening largely to Cruxshadows and Dreamside. Though I have been listening to some new types of death metal/black metal. A friend burned me a copy of Chimera's The impossibility of reason, and I'm anxiously awaiting Black Rose Burial's first albumn. I heard one of their Demo tapes. They have the random, pointless things of System of a Down, but their good, so... at least, some of their stuff is.
Anyway, I have to be back at work tomorrow at 2, so I'm going to call it a night. Night!
