Long Hours

I have decided that I am starting to despise the station job. I worked about 30 hours there over the weekend, with a Friday/Saturday shift lasting 18 long, tiring hours. My shift started on Friday at 2pm, then, because both 3rd shift people didn't show up (one called in, the other just didn't show), I decided to let my manager go home and work the shift. Then, only one person showed up for the 6am shift, so I had to help her set up that morning. It was long, wearisome hours, and I don't know if I've gotten back the sleep I've lost yet.

Well, I've been sending emails back and forth to Will, and it appears that he now has a military girlfriend =(. On the one hand I'm happy for him that he's finally found someone. On the other hand... well, I'm not so happy. And maybe even a little jealous. I'm normally not too bad in the jealousy department, but... Anyway, he says he's going to bring her down the next time he's able to be in the states, so when he does I'll be able to meet her.

I've been thinking about getting back into minature painting. I use to enjoy spending long hours with brush in hand painting little pieces of metal. Not so much that it had a use, but because I found it to be one of the most relaxing things I could do. Moving the brush against the pewter, getting the colors just right, ect. If I ever get a digital camera, I'll post some of my previous miniture paint jobs online. They aren't that good, but I'm still proud of them. One of the few things I'm proud of.

Anyway, I'll post again, hopefully sooner than this one was posted (I know, I always say that). Night!

Kamelot does a cool concert

First off, I'd like to say that the Kamelot concert was awesome. They threw an excellent concert on Saturday, and the bands that opened for them (Cypric Vision, Ben Jackson Group, and Crimson Glory) were fantastic. I also learend that, with the exception of the Keyboardist and the Vocalist, that the band was from Tampa, which was kind of cool. They don't play as well as dragonforce, but they throw a much better concert, and they also have respect for their fans.

Been working a lot. Also been going to school a lot. And I've been spending a lot of my free time playing dead rising. I've almost gotten through the story of that game, and well, wow. Very few games have been able to keep my attention for as long as this has. Maybe it's the random funness of it. Maybe it's the 360. Maybe it's the sick, twisted humor. Or maybe I'm just a twisted person who enjoys scenes of mass carnage and bloodshed. But what ever it is, my friends no longer trust me near nerf guns and stuffed animals. Also, they have had enough of me yelling the word Zombie!.

Recieved my tax refund check today. Half of it is going into my saving account, the other half is going to pay off the credit card I put the 360 on. I might change those figures around and pick up Dead or Alive 4 though. Since I picked up a second controller to play Halo with a friend (she's about as good as I am at the game, though I tend to do better at long range), and found out just where Microsoft makes back their money that they lose on the consoles. As such, I want a good, solid multiplayer game to make use of the overly expensive controller that I picked up. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to post. And no, the PS3 is not a sugestion. Though I am happy that they are releasing Assasin's Creed for the 360 =p.

Anyway, I'm going to log now, night!

Still tired

Ya, I'm still tired. But it's not just a physical or mental tirdness. It's one that has its roots in my core. The 360 has prevented the worse of it, something about being able to get negative emotions out on zombies, but I did relapse into a bad habbit I had in highschool about 2 weeks ago. Right when the station opened up and I was feeling overwhelmed. Still, I haven't repeated it, so that's good.

As to dead rising, just a word of caution before you decide to go pick it up. If you don't have a HD television, you will not be able to read the text on the screen. At least incoming call and item description text. Furthermore, Capcom, in their arrogance, has stated no patch for it. The game's fun though, just not worth the 59 if you don't have a HD.

I'll try to post tomorrow night if I can. I don't have anything scheduled except for some studying of Calc 3, so I should be well set. Also, the concert is this Saturday! Can't wait!

Sooo tired... =(

So tired. Since my last post I've been averaging about 4 hours of sleep each night, due to multiple reasons. The first being the station opening up, follwed by school. Of course, there are other, non-needed reasons.

I know I shouldn't have, but I took a step into the world of next gen and picked up a 360, along with the games Chromehounds and Dead Rising. I would have picked up Kameo instead of Dead Rising, but I hear it's only 10 hours long, and an infinite number of zombies needing slaying sounds like more strech to my dollar. Although I'm not a big fan of giant battling robots (I belive something with that many weakpoints have no place on a battlefield), the squad based combat looks fun. Besides, when Will was down he had a copy of it, and I kind of fell enanmored with it sense then.

I am really, really, really tired, and I have work at the station to do tomorrow. More like transpoting trash in my truck to the dump (I no longer need to worry about repairs for a while).I hope to post more tomorrow, since a lot more has happened in the two? weeks since then. nifght!
